Friends, As some of you know, I spent the last two weeks working to help an Afghan interpreter and his family get out of Afghanistan. I went to school with the Marine he served alongside who is also a dear friend. After an arduous journey, I am happy to report they arrived safely to the U.S. on Saturday. Their journey, however, does not end here as they traveled with little more than the clothes on their backs. In addition to basic living necessities like food and rent, his wife will also need to continue cancer treatment. He has become family to me and I am hoping my greater family—all of you—will consider donating what you can to help get them on their feet.
