“The Greatest” of all time. The greatest female athlete and the greatest mother. Serena’s decision brings tears to my eyes, I can’t even imagine how hard this must have been, to decide to leave tennis. As a women it is hard to be successful, committed and to give your maximum when you also have a kid that is the love of your life that needs you and you want to give them all the love and not loose those precious moments in life that are unique and so special. I remember watching Serena’s documentary and there is a moment when she is breastfeeding and playing a grand slam and her manager asks her to think what she really wants, you can’t be great at everything. This is very hard, I’ve been there having a baby and breastfeeding and traveling and working is extremely hard. We are strong women and we truly give our best but sometimes it is not enough. It takes a lot of courage to aim for greatness and it takes a lot more courage to say no and to live the passion of your life. I have so much respect for this incredible woman, she is so powerful and such an inspiration for athletes, for mothers and for kids with passion that have a really big dream.
