Michael van Beuren’s Woven Credenza designed in circa 1950 with handwoven palm cord doors. Interestingly, in 20th century Mexico, ‘handcraft’ was often considered less desirable, whereas In Europe, ‘handcraftsmanship’ is considered to be the highest value. Fortunately, this opinion has changed in recent years and artisanal craft is now incredibly sought after with skilled master craftsman in high demand.
