Last night was the final night of Oh God, A Show About Abortion. And while the show will absolutely continue, it was the end of this chapter. When I started writing this show three years ago I never imagined I would be in the middle of an off-Broadway run when Roe v. Wade was overturned. My frictionless abortion story has been reframed by an outrageous loss of civil liberties in this country. It has been an absolute privilege to get on stage and perform this show every night. And it has been an incredible honor to do it at Cherry Lane. It’s been emotional and challenging and deeply rewarding. Every laugh, every tear, every message I’ve received from audience members has been an important piece of this experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make this show what it is.
