#OneNightInNapa I had the pleasure of attending the grand reopening of the new @cardinalewinery Estate, where the wine was flowing, the conversations were layered like the tannins, and the views were having me look forward to retiring. Cardinale only makes one wine a year. It’s a singular Cabernet Sauvignon, blended from Napa Valley’s top mountain appellations. It’s concentrated, complex, and frankly, more composed than I am after two glasses. One of my fond highlights was meeting Chris Carpenter, whose passion for site specific winemaking is as compelling as the wine itself. The night was a celebration of the renovation, the reunion, and the reminder that great wine is a group effort. Vines, vision, and very good company. Thank you to the Cardinale team for letting me be a small part of something so intentional and inspired. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a cellar to reorganize and a mountain to over romanticize.
