4 years ago I woke up, put my best suit on with a smile on my face, drove to work, and quit my job. I had no plan. I had no clients. I only had a skill set. I had self-belief. I knew that if I could do millions in sales for other businesses, that I could also do that for myself. I'm so grateful for my Gram because if it wasn't for her support and belief in my determination and will - I don't think she had much else to go off of than that and maybe the faith in her Lord. I've never looked back. I love being a business owner. I feel like it's part of my responsibility and duty to give back to the community by growing my business. Doing things like paying taxes. Or working with people that I know, trust, and love. Getting the opportunity to build businesses with my mom and dad. One day with my children as well. Working with my friends from all around the world and people that I've known for over a decade. Every day I wake up I'm so grateful for the life I have created and the opportunities that I have. I still remember sleeping outside and couch surfing in my hometown the summer after my sophomore year of high school. I never in a million years would have thought then that I would be running my own business with 12 remote team members, buying a multifamily home, and have two children. I don't even think at that age I wanted kids ever. It's not come without its struggles both personal and professional but I'm grateful for all of that as well because if I experienced it there must have been a lesson for me to learn. One of the best things that I have learned from being a full-time business owner is the importance of mental and physical health. I do 90 minutes of therapy every week and have completely transformed my diet. Everyone talks about 'lifestyle' increases but the ultimate lifestyle flex is being mentally, physically, and emotionally fit. That's my current goal. I am extremely grateful though. It's been one helluva ride that's for certain and I'm sure that 2021 will bring more stories to tell to my grandchildren one day.
