This was my fifth year going to Mission Arlington and let me tell you God was at work! I had such an amazing time just getting to see all of the growth in our youth group and being able to get so much closer.
Throughout the week we learned about the endless amount of trust Abraham had in God and how obedient he was to allow God to work through him. I learned that trust ALWAYS requires obedience... we may trust in God’s plans for our life but if we aren’t actively following them out then are we really trusting Him?
I also learned the importance of letting God be in control over my life instead of myself. Wouldn’t you want an all knowing God whose love is endless to be in control? Instead of relying on myself all week to have energy and strength I was reminded of Isaiah 40:29-31 which talks about when we trust in the Lord, He will renew our strength. This served as a constant reminder to me that times will get hard but they are never impossible with God. me<GOD
Lastly, I was convicted by the boldness of Peter and John in the passage of Acts 4:13. They may have been uneducated and untrained but they were known for spending time with Jesus. This boldness they showed led to 3,000 people being saved! What are you known for spending time on? Do people even know you spend time with Jesus?
> Don’t assume someone else will share God’s word, it is YOUR job and you can reach some that others can’t!
