The Village isn’t based on my life, but the characters, situations and locations have root origins in my past: The West Village of the late 70’s/early 80’s, the gay bars and cruising and sex, the music, the friends and how free we were with each other and never thought about the future or that anything would change. I wanted my disco musical just to be fun and funny, and hopefully it is, but it’s also turned into a more emotional piece than I thought it would be. Excited to see what people think of it.
