Pictured are a large version my Classic Mug design with the addition of a thumb rest—these are for those who prefer a larger handle and tighter hold. (These mugs allow for a 3-4 finger hold, versus our original Classic Mug which fits 1-2 fingers.) The increased volume (they hold 21 oz as opposed to the Classic Mugs 14 oz) means fewer trips to the coffee pot. My grandparents were among several people who have requested this style of mug for a variety of reasons, most of which include : arthritic pain, loss of grip strength, or simply just having larger hands.
