Introducing our 2022-23 Teen Dancer of the Year: ✨AVA COLLAZOS✨ Dance FX

 My name is Ava Collazos, and I am 14 years old. I am beyond grateful to be chosen to represent Tremaine as the 2022-23 Teen Dancer of the Year! My love for dance began at the age of two and has continued to be my strongest passion in life for the past 12 years. I train at Dance FX in Sunrise, Florida, under the direction of Julie Bartoletti Brown and Joan Bartoletti, where I learn various styles. When I am not dancing, I enjoy math, running, and being on my school’s debate team! Additionally, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I attended my first Tremaine at the age of eight, and ever since then I have looked forward to each time I am able to attend this convention. Being accepted into the Tremaine Performance Company has allowed me to grow as a dancer in numerous ways. Assisting the faculty has helped me develop the ability to pick up choreography quickly. Conversely, I have learned to work through long intricate rehearsals to prepare us for performances, which gives me better insight into the world of a professional dancer. The benefits of learning from the faculty are undoubtedly evident in my growth as a dancer. My goal this year is to inspire dancers and leave a lasting impact on them about the endless joy dance can bring. I will strive to build bonds with dancers, younger and older, just as I have been able to throughout my years
at Tremaine. I am immensely appreciative of the opportunities my parents have provided me to be able to get to this point in my dance life. Additionally, I have unmeasurable gratitude for all my teachers who have taught me and shaped me into the dancer I am. Thank you to everyone at Tremaine Dance and Mr. Joe Tremaine for giving me this incredible opportunity. I am so excited for this year! Help us in congratulating Ava!!!🥳❤️
