Taking a moment to honor Jean-Luc Godard. Godard was the first artist that I loved independent of influence. I didn’t find him by way of a parent, my sister, a crush, the rest of the kids at school. It was the first time I happened upon something and knew I loved it - because I loved it. I don’t know what that is for you, but you know how special it is. The colors, the beauty, the romance, the existential dread. Something felt so Piscean about every Godard film pull quote and still I obsessively posted on my Tumblr to let people know that not only do I have a lot of feelings....I have a lot of thoughts about those feelings!!! (And that I am interesting, hello it’s in french??!) The first time I got IMDbPro (lol) I went to Godard’s page and his address was listed. It seemed like such a local Parisian address I thought if I ever wanted to send him a letter...maybe he might see it. I never did and I don’t regret it, but smile that it might have happened.
