Introducing our 2022-23 Senior Dancer of the Year: ✨SYDNEY ORR✨ The Pointe Performing Arts Center Oklahoma City, OK
 Hi, I am Sydney Orr and I am so honored to represent Tremaine as their 2022-23 Senior Dancer of the Year. This has been a dream come true. My dance life began at age seven when I was invited by a friend to attend a summer dance class. That first year I was invited to join The Pointe PAC Company and I performed at my first competition. I instantly loved to perform and felt at home on the stage. I loved group competition as well as solo performance. My early training involved all genres of dance but especially ballet. I loved ballet and the discipline it took. I would make goals each year of how I could improve my technique and had fantastic teachers that encouraged my growing talent. I attended summer ballet intensives and worked hard to be the best I could. At age 11, I began attending various conventions in an effort to learn from prominent teachers in the dance industry. Dance is what made me happy and I had a desire to learn all that I could. After my first Tremaine convention I fell in love. To my surprise, I won a year-long scholarship and attended as many cities as I was able to. I always felt so welcomed by the faculty and part of their family. I joined the Tremaine Performance Company when I was 13 in an effort to train more closely with the staff. Since then, I have been a Tremaine DOTY finalist three times and have been motivated to train with the idea of one day being a Tremaine Dancer of Year. I have been blessed with the influence of so many wonderful dance teachers over the years. I am currently 16 years old attending High School where I am a member of the Dance Team and Leadership Program. I dance more than 25 hours a week with my studios Pre-Professional program. I’m so excited for the opportunity to be Dancer of the Year and improve my performance ability and hopefully be an inspiration to dancers of all ages. I’m also grateful for the constant support of my family throughout my dance journey. Thank you Tremaine for believing in me and giving me this chance. Help us in congratulating Sydney!!!🥳❤️
