In honor of Black History Month here are a few snippets of some powerfully and wonderfully made people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting at Monsters this past year. These interactions will always be close to my heart..There are so many more out of just these few moments, and I wish I could highlight them all. From my pre school teacher, to the majority of my dance teachers, to the friends I’ve made and the friends that I consider family...so many Black people have helped sculpt me today not only as a dancer but as a person, and SO many have helped me understand and learn more about how Hip Hop exists outside of four walls and a mirror. Thank you for showing me culture. Thank you for your time, your love, your hugs, your ears when I need them. You are seen. You are heard. And you are loved in return ❤️
