Wedding Day 🤍 This day was everything to us. The most special, the most intimate, the most treasured. Not only because it was the day we finally got to get married, but because of the story behind how we got here. Max & I got engaged in January of 2022. When searching for the perfect venue to get married at nothing felt right to us. We wanted something to honor Max’s parents who are no longer with us on earth. We knew the one place that would be so special would be Max’s childhood home. So we wrote a letter to the new owners asking if they would even consider allowing us to have our wedding there. It was a long shot & it had been almost a year since we wrote it. We had given up on the idea. Then one day we each got a message from the new owner, August, asking if we had gotten married yet & if we hadn’t how we MUST have our wedding at the house. We were instantly brought to tears at the generosity of someone who had never met us. Once we met we asked, “How come now? 9 months later?” and August told us...a package had arrived at the house with Max’s name on it and it reminded him of an envelope he saw with the same name. Max had ordered a package weeks prior that had gone missing, we called and asked the person who shipped it, “What address did you use?” he told us the correct address, the one we lived at. So we thought it must’ve gotten lost & ordered a new one. However, the package we ordered wasn’t lost. It was delivered, but it was delivered to Max’s childhood home. How it got there makes no sense to us...once Max & his family left that home the address had changed. We believe it was divine intervention. Max’s parents helping us to give a little reminder so we could not only have our wedding in the place that meant the most, but so that we could meet August, who has since now become one of our best friends.
