In a word? Thrilling. From an extremely young age, I had longed for a city as gorgeous and gritty, fucked up and fabulous, tough but generous as this one. Radio City has always remained one of the most mysterious and romantic North Stars I could look to; to remind myself that one day, I’d get there. I’d be one of them. I’d be “home.” When the Austrian curtain went up and the @thenewyorkpops went straight in for the kill with all instrumental guns blazing, my jaw dropped, I audibly gasped, went misty, and screamed so loud I think I scared my audience neighbors. This, only literal moments before @fatherjohnmisty took a tour de force of his catalogue, making the most of his backing band and the infamous orchestra. Will never forget.
