For years I had seen views of the Napali Coast that were always stunning, but I knew they weren’t taken from the ground. @kat_n_leo isn’t the biggest fan of helicopters, much less one where the doors would be off so I could take better photos. However, she was an awesome partner and agreed to do it. As we crossed over the southern end of the island, my anticipation began to build. Our @maunaloahelitours pilot made a playlist for our flight and right when we came into view of the coast “Paradise” began playing...very fitting. I took a lot of pictures, fighting against the wind to get the composition I wanted. When we got back on the ground, I looked at the photos and when I came upon this a sense of both joy and relief washed over me; I had captured the photo I always wanted and it’s my favorite one I took in Hawaii. Added this one to my print store as well if anyone is interested. Ps to my photographer friends, I actually significantly brought the saturation DOWN in this photo, that’s just how vibrant it is in real life.
