Kosta and his pups lensed by me on my favorite Fujifilm camera. Like many of the amazing people I met on Hydra, Kosta and I met by swimming at the same spot every day. He’s a fisherman with 2 quaint homes on the island—- one in Hydra Port and one in Kamini— a wife of many years and adult kids. While he did not grow up on Hydra, he’s lived there 20 years and could never imagine living anywhere else at this point. He’s been swimming at the same spot we both love for all these years. On this particular day, I was going to dinner with my Hydran fam, and even though we’d met eachother several times over and shared lengthy conversations, he told me I was one the most beautiful women he had ever seen. My response was “Well.... I sure do clean up well that’s for sure!” with a laugh at the end. 🖤 Oh how I love these photos.
