Happy Canyon Princesses @marleyyks & @samanthacraigallen took us on a behind-the-scenes look at a family tradition that has been in both of their families for many years. The Indian village is a tradition that dates back to the first Round-Up in 1910, when the rodeo invited local tribes to attend the event and set up a camp. Many of today’s visitors had grandparents and great-grandparents set up tipi's in the same spot more than 100 years ago. Some of the components have been passed down through the generations and are constructed from animal hide, while more modern ones are factory-produced from canvas and other materials. Thank you to each and every family who came and set up a tipi for the 112th Pendleton Round-Up! We'd also like to thank both @marleyyks & @samanthacraigallen for letting us join this extremely special tradition with their amazing families! ❤️
