How much I spent on my parents’ backyard ☀️ About $36,000 later, it is an oasis for my parents! They have always wanted a place where they can relax, be outside, stay cool and tend to their many plants! 🌱 We worked with @yardzen to create this design since I know nothing about exteriors and landscaping. The most expensive part was grading the backyard, whch is heavily sloped and pouring the custom concrete pavers. Here is a short breakdown of what we paid so you can get an idea of how much it costs. Trust me, we had some sticker shock. Custom Conrete Pavers: $9,000 Artificial Turf: $4,000 Redo Irrigation: $1,680 Raised Planter Beds: $3,000 Grade Backyard: $4,550 Basalt Rock: $1,368 Plants: $2,000 TOTAL COST: About $36,000 There are other costs I didn’t list out, but these were some of the big items. The plant budget would have been more expensive if my Mom didn’t already have so many plants. Now they spend almost all day out here and I can’t wait to spend more quality family time here.
