The easiest, quickest oil free, vegan GF homemade beet crackers to make at home. Earthy, crunchy, yummy, and filled with EFAs and fiber- all the good things for you. 10 minutes prep max.
Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup of your fav raw nuts and seeds (I used walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and almonds)
1 3/4 cup water
1 heaping tablespoon organic raw beet powder
1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Drizzle of maple syrup or honey
> Toast the nuts for 3-4 minutes on a pan or in a toaster oven. Remove.
> Blend everything together in a Vitamix or other high powered blender like Blendtec. A food processor could work too but I haven’t tried.
> Pour and spread evenly and very thinly out on a baking sheet or oiled non stick cookie pan
> Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.
> Remove from the oven and cut into squares with a pastry cutter or very sharp scoring knife (without ruining your pan).
> Return to the oven and bake for another 30-35 minutes until crackers are crispy and smells heavenly.
