How long have we waited for Black representation in films - especially for our kids, who so desperately need to see that they, too, matter? I long for the day we surface from the deep and claim what has always been our birthright - liberation from racism and whiteness that says, “art can’t be Black.” Black is beautiful and The Little Mermaid will help show thousands of children that—finally—they’re a part of this world, too. ♥️✊🏾
