I was a teacher for 11 years, and it was the best, hardest work I ever did. I'd still be doing it, but it's nearly impossible to raise a family on a teacher's salary. If you know how to read, thank a teacher. If you can do math--even a little, LOL--thank a teacher. If you can write a sentence, thank a teacher. Most of life's important lessons happen in a classroom. Please urge your community to support teachers with adequate pay and benefits, and support their efforts in the classroom by letting them do what they do best--teaching.
