Soothing views of the kitchen soaking up the Autumn sun and bringing a whole lot of joy this Sunday morning. There are so many methods out there for styling shelves and other spaces but I really don’t think there’s a right or wrong way. My method has always been very simple. Find those items that bring you joy and build everything else around them. I always start with one or two key pieces (my anchors) and then add visual interest through variations in height, tone and materiality around them. Ceramics and timber always feature strongly (no surprises there!), but I love how the introduction of fruit (figs here) and flowers (Japanese anenomes here) can add so much life. This particular set up has to be one of my all time favourites, thanks to the wonderful pieces on show.
