During summer we want all kids to experience the joy of swimming, crafts, cooking, new friends, and games that camp brings. We are thrilled to be the presenting partner for @oakparksrec Town Camp for a fourth consecutive year, supporting their summer programming and the Town After School Program during the school year. With 20 participating recreation centers, Town Camp and Town After School locations reach nearly every corner of Oakland, providing much-needed recreation, enrichment, and academic programs for kids ages 5-13. Summer camp weeks have themes such as “Suit Up for Science” and “Tinkers’ Week,” plus special swim camps at five locations. During the school year, programming includes STEAM activities, homework clubs, games, and creative play. In Oakland, where only 10% of girls and 21% of boys report getting 60 minutes of physical activity daily, we are proud to work with Oakland Town Camp to provide even more support for scholarships, supplies, transportation, and equipment to get kids swimming, eating nutritious meals, playing, learning, and exploring this summer and throughout the year. ☀️Learn more: @oakparksrec -> oaklandca.gov @eatlearnplay -> eatlearnplay.org 📷 @DCPhotoSF
