Upper Market Gallery runs a studio residency for artists & creatives based in the Bay Area, where studio rent is often prohibitively expensive. We focus on low-footprint artists in a wide range of media, and partner with them to produce something new: a print, a work on paper, textiles, a painting, installation, performance. UMG has had the pleasure of hosting and supporting Kennedy Morgan as our sole 2022 Works off Paper Residency artist. In addition to using the space to make drawings for shows at UMG, Delaplane, and other galleries, Kennedy is culminating their time in the studio with a large-scale site-specific drawing.
