A picture of summer but much more for me. Rediscovering a side I’ve misplaced the past few years with Covid. Summer was always my time to recharge. No matter how I did it - using miles, home exchanges, begging friends...I would get myself to France to reconnect with that side of myself and chill the f out. After 3 years of living with Covid, confinement, sending my kid to live in Paris with their dad for the year...I didn’t take this time. No breaks. No pause. I did what I had to and pushed through when times got hard. And now with tears in my eyes I sit at a small beach, with my friends after getting lost in the deep blue of the Mediterranean and it’s fishies, laughing and speaking French and drinking a beer. Here is to the small pleasures in life and unabashed summer joy.
