In certain cities, I noticed people are constantly asking questions like “are you working on anything exciting?”, “what do you do?”… as the first interaction with strangers,
How can we reframe conversations with people we just meet not just in the context of productivity and income? How can we find value in others aside from that? To appreciate a new encounter with curiosity for their story and heart instead of their output.
I understand that it’s a natural process to be curious! But how about different questions? Like…
-How are you feeling?
-How was your day?
-Anything that sparked joy/caused friction this week?
-What are you excited for these coming months that aren’t work related?
Prior to the pandemic being “booked and busy” felt like a flex, now I look forward to my rest and work balance. They say rest is productive, no! Rest is rest! And rest is important to live, not for more productivity.
Joy and play have to be prioritized, just like work does! ❤️ happy Friday, y’all! Also I’ve been eating more! Which is a small victory for me! And seeing results at the gym 😽
