❤❤ He says he stays up all night and doesn’t sleep much. We later learned it is because he has nightmares most nights. After opening up his favorite present, playing games, watching movies, and eating 1 to many cookies, his eyes became heavy in the late hours. He said he felt better sleeping in the living room, among us. So the curtains were pulled, the mattress was drug out, blankets & pillows were placed, & the edges were lined with stuffed animals as he closed his eyes to sleep. While he slept, I sat in the rocking chair beside him praying over his little heart & all the uncertainty ahead. He woke up the next morning in a clean bed, in a warm house, to his favorite cereal at his request. With smiling faces & humbled hearts we poured love into this boy & showed him he wasn’t going to face anything alone. #loveyouarenotalone #isaiah117house
