I’m wary to say I celebrated anything today, considering, well...you know. But I did squeeze every single ounce I could out of this bank holiday. It was “blizzard conditions” here - a first time I’ve heard that phrase used on the weather app - so no going out. Sourdough toast for breakfast (and lunch). Two cups of coffee in bed with a pile of magazines flipped through. Emails answered (minimally). Chores around the house done (minimally). Norwegian studying done (half-assedly). And a quick clean-through of the fridge, resulting in a little lemon poppyseed cake that was all eyeballed and fingers crossed until it came out of the oven. Now, onto finish a newsletter and plot a chapter of my next novel and maybe grill up some chicken for us or maybe just call it a day and munch on two slices of cake on the couch. Cheers
