A FEW THOUGHTS + dont wanna BTS snaps by mi marge and sister friend @jillianedelstein few days late in true me fashion but here’s my ramble: to be honest i’ve struggled with socials since releasing music - while they’re so accesible and an amazing free tool they can make you feel like you’re competing w every artist out there. we’re all individuals at the end of the day so I personally don’t believe that’s the case but it’s still hard to avoid the feeling I put out a single and a video last month and as the plan goes at this stage I should be thanking everyone for listening/watching and ask for that support to continue. (this does still stand so ty if you have) The numbers aren’t as good as one may have hoped but obviously no journey is the same and ima keep at music because i bloody love it. still stands that it gets you down when you & a bunch of creatives put a lot of energy into something and it maybe isn’t as widely received as you hoped i’m putting all these thoughts down mainly as a challenge to myself but also to hope for a shift in the way i personally approach these spaces. if others can relate then that’s just a bonus at risk of sounding like that mean girls meme i do wish we’d be a lil more transparent and honest on here, maybe then so many wouldn’t be struggling with all this comparative side of things / pretending everything’s all good I have no idea where my music is going/ could go. but sometimes find it hard to appreciate the progression, so here’s to doing better at that. i love writing & performing and even getting the opportunities to do that in the last year is more I could’ve dreamt of like 5 years back also protect @eli1ah at all costs. consistently opening ppls minds / ears, he defo inspired me to articulate and write down this trail of thought that is all
