i’m turning 40 today! what an accomplishment for my mom, a refugee, displaced from her homeland and separated from family for decades, who traveled to iran, egypt and the us, to somehow give me the best life. it would be a disservice to her not to do the absolute most this year so i hope you’ll join me in celebrating tonight.
