Highlights from my recent trip to France: It was the perfect first international trip, organized by @larocheposay to tour the newly renovated Centre Thermal, laboratories, and integrative center. Here are some of my take-home messages: - The Centre Thermal is a world renowned facility that uses the natural thermal spring water that is rich in selenium, silica and other healing elements. The water is recognized by the French Government, and treatments at the Center are covered under the National Insurance programs, when prescribed by dermatologists. - The main treatments are for post cancer scars, burns scars, eczema and psoriasis. Results are often life-changing and many patients are able to stop other eczema and psoriasis meds. - We also visited the integration center where patients go for everything from massage, meditation, education and even lessons in how to effectively use make up to cover scars and discoloration from systemic lupus erythematosis, burns, psoriasis and more. - There was time built in to visit local towns and to get a taste of the beautiful countryside. - In Paris I participated in the Skin Alliance Meeting, attended fascinating workshops on skin care sensoriality and collected great data for my upcoming book on the #skinbiome - There’s no visiting #paris without stopping by all the iconic sites, from the #eiffeltower to the #latinquarter the #marais and #thelouvre We walked 5-8 miles per day and loved every minute!
