Korean “Mayak” Eggs literally translate to “drug eggs” because of how addicting they are. 🤤 They really live up to their name; without fail, every other week, I find myself making a batch of these. I figured it was finally time to share my take on them! 🥚 ✨DRUG EGGS RECIPE ✨ Room temperature eggs - boil for 6 mins (medium high heat) Eggs from fridge - boil for 7 minutes ***add a splash of white vinegar to water for easy peeling ***If you prefer a jammier egg, I find that 7 minutes EXACTLY is the perfect timing. I wanted something slightly more hard boiled this time, so I boiled them for 8 minute. ⭐️ INGREDIENTS ⭐️ 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup sweetener (honey, sugar, or corn syrup works) 🍯 1/4 cup water 10 cloves of minced garlic 🧄 3 jalapeños (this gives them a nice kick, but you can use hotter chilies for more spice) 1 tbsp sesame seeds 2 tbsp sesame oil I also usually add a handful of chopped green onions, but I didn’t have them on hand this time!
