happy trans pride 🏳️‍⚧️💓 ever since I came to the realisation that I don’t align with being cis-gendered, so much has clicked into place in my life. I’ve never felt right about being labelled as female, and so much of what is associated with it has never felt natural for me. once I started learning more about what it means to be genderqueer, once I started accepting that yes, actually, this feels better (acceptance doesn’t always come easily)... it felt as if I opened the gates to a whole new world - one which is enormously exciting, confusing, terrifying, and beautiful ✨ I may not use it to describe myself forever, but the term ‘non-binary’ has been giving me a lot of space and freedom to figure out ways in which I can be my happiest, truest self. I’m grateful for the liberating power of language, for the visible trans people who have given me inspiration and confidence to explore, and for the wonderful people in my life who have supported me on this journey so far 🏳️‍⚧️💕
