These are my 4 tips for helping your 👧🏼🧒🏼 be able to clean their room in around 10 minutes! 1. Make sure to throw away any trash. 2. Go through and declutter any books, clothes, toys, that your children have outgrown or no longer use. You may need to repeat this process a few times to pair items down to an amount your child is able to manage. 3. Organize everything so that all items have a home. I like to make sure that every category has its own designated area, container, basket. I even like to label them so that it is simple for children to put things where they go. For younger children, I will even use pictures of the item that goes in that container. 4. Create a step-by-step checklist that is easy to follow. Break down tasks in to as small of steps as necessary, so that it feels manageable for your child.
