Her inspiration comes from an interest in texture, materiality, consumerism, and the process itself of creation. Drawn to metal, organic shapes, and materials not typically used in art and jewelry, Natalie sees beauty in the mundane or discarded and aims to bring peoples’ attention to the beauty of the natural and manmade materials already around us. “The inspiration was the materiality of graphite - how it looks after many strokes with different levels of softness of the pencil core, and how it has this metallic quality depending on the light. I think it's super interesting how the light reflects off the graphite depending on your angle.” @natklap
