Happy 225th birthday to Mary Shelley, Gothic Queen! I have loved Mary's work and her life story ever since I was a teenager (as this sampling of my Mary Shelley Collection attests!), and one of the most enjoyable parts of working on THE VILLA was playing around with both Mary's biography and her legacy as a writer.
