AI, Poetry & Alchemy. Connectome is inspired by an excerpt in Sasha Stiles’ book Technelegy. Her book plays on the dynamic between human machine collaboration using natural language processing and generative text as prosthetic imagination. Aka the author with her alter ego, an AI poet powered by deep learning language models trained on Stiles’ poetry. I curated these three works by Connie Bakshi “By Virtue of,” ZEITWEITZ “No Past No Future” & Sasha Stiles “REPETAE” for their distinctively adaptive qualities in working with historical mediums from poetry to wet plate photography to AI.
