Mia Monroe, a junior business analytics major, is spending the summer in Paderno del Grappa, Italy, with the CIMBA program! Here, she’s furthering her academic knowledge with hands-on courses in economics and Italian. Each day she attends classes, then applies her lessons as she shops, explores nearby towns, and participates in cultural activities like pizza and pasta making. Outside of class, Monroe has grown significantly in her independence and confidence as she explores Europe and its unique cultures. So far, Monroe has traveled to Florence, with Lake Como, Milan, and Switzerland next on her itinerary. “Navigating and planning travel in a foreign country with a language barrier has been difficult, but I’ve grown and learned so much from it,” she shared. These adventures have also allowed Monroe to grow closer to her peers and professors as she shares her experiences! “I’m grateful to have gained many connections with other business students and professors from other universities all over the United States.”
