Another good news for our film Autobiography, as it has just been awarded with the historic Aluminium Horse Award for Best Directorial Debut at the Main Competition Section, Stockholm International Film Festival 2022 in Sweden. The jury note: “An intricate analysis of power dynamics of our souls, bodies and surroundings. A striking and intelligent debut with its theme permeating every frame, every line of dialog and action. Through the sensitive performance of its cast, the cinematography and direction, it radiates excellence.” Founded in 1990, the Aluminium Horse Award for Best Directorial Debut is a historic prize for promising new film directors from all over the world, among the former winners are Billy Elliot (Stephen Daldry), Fruitvale Station (Ryan Coogler), Me and You and Everyone We Know (Miranda July) among others.
