Before the American Rescue Plan, over 200 multiemployer plans faced near-term insolvency – putting workers’ hard-earned pension benefits at risk of devastating cuts. Because of President Biden's Special Financial Assistance program, all of those plans are projected to be solvent through 2051, and previous cuts will be reversed.
