Congrats to my son RYAN, #upenn #whartonclassof2020 Summa Cum Laude WOW! Like! ...WOW!!!! official in school graduation in ...yup...2022. Finally. You did it virtually in 2020. Now you’re back in person in 2022! Let recap- What a ride. The Dalton School class of 2016...early decision to UPenn/Wharton as a freshman....congrats! But wait....during freshman year....humm maybe you felt that wasn’t exactly the best fit for you? ....ok and transferred to Yale or was it Brown...please pick one. You got in both ...ok, you choose Yale as a 1st semester sophomore and went. Good choice. Goodbye Philly - hello New Haven. (As a side note your gorgeous Ivy dorm rooms at Penn and Yale were both on the 5th floor with no elevator. Move in was well to say the least a work out.) ok....now what? Your a sophomore at Yale, And here we go again. You once again felt it wasn’t exactly the right fit for you? Are you kidding me? Ok, good-bye New Haven...hello Philly....again..and Back to Wharton as a 2nd semester sophomore. The perfect fit! Finally. Fyi-As a Wharton/Penn alumni you know I secretly did have a huge smile on my face....I mean huge. That being said, Hard to keep up with where I was going to visit you. Penn. Yale. Penn. I mean like which Ivy? Ok. No Brown? You could have done junior year there? Just kidding. And every semester asking you: Where am I visiting you? At least I figured that out. Or actually you did. All good! Ok you were a bit stressed. But come on. All great decisions. Love you having champagne problems! Then March of 2020 senior year Wharton closes suddenly because of COVID, boom, and you’re home finishing school virtually - missing 2nd semester senior year and everything wonderful it comes with. And a lot comes with that. After all Playboy Magazine named University of Pennsylvania best party school in the country -and the best partying is 2nd semester senior year...I digressed, And I’m very sorry for COVID. Well you’re officially graduated now twice. Summa cum laude twice! Virtually and in school. So very, very proud of you! I love you and my wish for your life-in this very, very challenging and difficult world we live in is that you only have champagne problems! You are indeed blessed.
