Check out this process video demonstrating how to make a conservation-friendly wire hand; this technique comes in "handy" when you have to prep gloves for exhibition displays. Mannequins have rigid, inflexible fingers which can make putting gloves on tricky; or, sometimes, they have "paddle" hands with no finger articulations. In these cases, we prefer to remove the original hands and make our own!
