It all came together here when this gentoo penguin chick positioned itself in front of a very dark background, backlit by the sun setting in front of him. First, I underexposed my frame by two stops. Then, in post-production, I simply darkened the shadow to eliminate any possible details in the dark, and pushed the highlights a bit. #penguin #gentoopenguin #wildlifephotography #rimlight #conservaiton #climatechange
