I like to use toplights, but most of the time i mix them with a front fill so that they wont be too extreme or harsh. Then its even nice to have a hard er light from above to create a bit of Drama and Highlights on the hair. I am not a Fan of big Booms because they have a big footprint and use a lot of space in a studio.
