The food that breaks boundaries!
Germany, a land full of diverse customs, traditions and filled to the brim with history. Cultural artefacts have endured the test of time from both East and West Germany, and of course, food plays a huge part of this. Experimentum Series 2y07: Berlin, an ode to the reunification of these traditions and rediscovery of nostalgic flavours, with its Dresden-style Worcester sauce edition.
Inspired by this incomparable and unusual flavor symbiosis, long-standing friends, Swabian born Chef Rainer Klutsch and Berlin born Chef Kaj Steuck, explored a union of culinary traditions from East and West.
Today we present you 2 of the dishes that the wunderbar chefs developed:
- Wachtelbroiler (Roasted Quail), a reinterpretation of the ‘Broiler’, the common term for roast chicken in the former GDR, bringing together flavours from across the land.
- Würzfleischstrudel (Meat strudel) with Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Gin Cherries, combining two classic dishes in one wunderbar combination from both worlds.
