"You're just trans for the aesthetic" Believe it or not .. People say that to me. Tbh I see it is a compliment now. I'll be honest with you .. I had SO MUCH internalised trans hostility.. when I first realised I am trans I couldn't stop crying for years cause "I didn't wanna look like that" .. trans bodies NEVER were something I was told were beautiful.. on the other hand, they were and still are stigmatised (just like anything else that doesn't fit into the non-queer, white, not-disabled norm). These pictures I took after a shower the other day and I looked at myself and was feeling it so much. Going from "I never want to look like that" to "I love looking like this". It is a long way and there is are up and downs. Remember: ALL BODIES ARE BEAUTIFUL and so is my trans body and I deserve to love it and find myself beautiful in it. Why am I not allowed to be aesthetic? BS. I am trans cause I am trans.
