Hello folks, just wanted to announce that I will be attending Tyler’s MFA program for Fibers & Materials Studies. I’m in the midst of my first week and loving it so far. Very grateful to those who helped me get to this point. To the teachers(in all ways) and letter writers, thank you so so much. And a special shout-out to the fiber community at large, which I intentionally sought out for guidance and shelter after feeling indifference amongst other art communities within NY at the time of my decision making. On my applications for both Textile Arts Center and now Tyler, I mentioned that community was an important factor for me; finding it and fostering it, because anything else feels disengaged. I’m on more journeys than one while pursuing my degree but I know each thing will inform the next.

I’m excited to get to work, see my practice grow, and eventually teach once I graduate.
