There’s a season to rest, a season to work hard, and a season to celebrate and make memories. We celebrated Lola’s 96th birthday and Malachi’s (very, very, very) early birthday. I asked Malachi what does he want to do on this special day (as we are about to enter a very busy season in our lives)...he said have a HUGE play date. That’s what we did! You could just feel the smiles all around you. I asked Lola the next day, did you have fun? She said, “I did. Let’s do this again next year!” (Back in May, doctors told us Lola had days, maybe weeks to live. We are grateful to witness this incredible milestone with her and went big with this celebration. Lola was soaking it all in.) Thank you to all of our family and friends who celebrated with us. Life is short. Work hard. Play harder.
