🔨DIY BENCH CUSHION🔨 Before my sister left back home, we made a bench cushion for one of the upstairs bedrooms. We had always had these window books in two of the bedrooms upstairs but did not have cushions for them. I thought about getting cushions custom made on Etsy, but decided this was a much more affordable route and it didn’t take a lot of time.
🔨We used 1/2” particle board for the base because it was cheaper than plywood and we just needed a sturdy base.
🔨I had a memory foam mattress topper that was too soft fort bed so I used that for the cushion part.
🔨Batting went over top the cushion, and then the fabric was stapled to the back with a pneumatic staple gun. It looks scary at first but it’s definitely way easier than using the manual ones that make your hand cramp after using them a while.
🔨 The best pet was that my sister got to learn how to use more tools so that she’s able to use them around her home as well. Two years ago I would have never thought I would be teaching someone else how to use power tools but they aren’t so scary once you know how to use them. 🤷🏽‍♀️ How do you think we did? I love this cushion and it’s going to be a great reading book in the bedroom! #diyhomedecor #diyhomeprojects #diyproject #sandphome #diyhomedecor #diyideas #easydiy #easydiyproject #diyvideos #diyvideo #diytutorial #latinablogger #latinabloggers #plussizeblogger #homedecorblogger #homedecorblog #homedecorator #homedecorideas
